What info is required for a Payee?
Required info to register a payee depending on user type.
Overview
- Payee registered through the Pockyt Merchant platform directly can receive Pockyt emails and can log in to the Payee Portal to complete additional information.
- Non-Pockyt user: Registered through the merchant API and are only in contact with the merchant. They will not receive Pockyt emails directly and cannot log in to the Payee Portal. The merchant can only log in to the Merchant Portal to complete additional information on their behalf.
Government ID Types
When submitting identity verification (KYC) information, it's important to provide the correct type of government-issued ID. Below is a list of supported ID types and their intended use:
Individuals:
- ID_CARD
A government-issued national identity card. - SSN
A U.S. Social Security Number. Used primarily for U.S.-based individuals. - PASSPORT
A government-issued passport. Acceptable for international identity verification. - DRIVER_LICENSE
A valid driver’s license issued by a government authority.
Businesses:
- BUSINESS_REGISTRATION_CERT
An official certificate confirming the legal registration of a business. Typically includes the business name, registration number, incorporation date, and issuing authority.
